This beach bathroom was a really fun project with an interesting backstory. Another contractor had already pulled the permit and was about halfway through when the owners realized the quality of work didn’t match what they were paying for. They called us, we came out, submitted a bid, and took over both the permit and the entire project — finishing it exactly the way they envisioned.
It came out beautiful. We were able to use many of the materials the previous contractor had already sourced, and filled in the gaps — additional tile and a few other items — where supplies had fallen short. The client is extremely happy with how it turned out.
The design has a strong beachy feel, which was intentional — the ocean is just a block away. We leaned into that with black trim throughout, carried across the mirrors, lights, and fixtures. On the vanity side of the bathroom, slider doors provide closet space, and where a traditional door once stood, we installed a pocket door to save space. It matches the other doors in the room, and a linen closet alongside it adds convenient storage.
The previous contractor had already relocated the toilet, so we picked up from there — finishing the tile, installing the toilet, and adding a linen cabinet. The walk-in shower features a linear drain, handheld fixture, and the same black trim carried throughout. The glass enclosure wasn’t in yet at the time of filming, but was due within the week.
As we do in all of our bathrooms, we used the same stone on the vanity top and niche bases to tie the whole space together. The black, brown, and natural tones mesh seamlessly — exactly what the homeowner wanted. We’d love to do something like this for you. Give us a call at Legacy Renovations.
