We’re excited to share this beautiful kitchen renovation in St. Augustine!
Our goal was to create a more open and functional layout by removing the existing peninsula and opening up the entire space. We relocated the range to the wall, added a large custom island with a sink and dishwasher, and installed new flooring to create a seamless look throughout the kitchen.
To maximize storage, we replaced the old built-in pantry with custom cabinetry that blends perfectly with the rest of the kitchen. We also added a beautiful backsplash and installed a vent hood that ducts directly outside for better ventilation while cooking.
One of our favorite features is the stunning quartz countertops the homeowners selected, featuring soft blue hues that pair perfectly with the blue glass backsplash—giving the whole kitchen a bright, coastal feel that fits St. Augustine perfectly.
The finished result is a clean, open, and functional kitchen that the homeowners absolutely love—and so do we.

In interior design, transitional means a blend of both traditional and modern styles. While “transitional” isn’t a term widely used by our clients, this is what our clients almost invariably ask for. We then integrate their more unique preference and personality by adding coastal, Mediterranean, Japandi, Swedish, Spanish, Boho / Bohemian (French roots), or other design elements from any other country. As you look through other properties on our site you will see that we use the term transitional a lot, but when you start to notice a blend of traditional and modern design… you will realize that we could use the term a lot more.
Being in Florida, and having many clients on the beach, Coastal + Transitional (modern + traditional) is a timeless choice, that we feel will always fit this part of the world…. just like the respective architecture and interior design have become timeless for each country and culture in each part of the world. You go to Greece, and you wouldn’t want the design to be anything but Greek. Go to Spain, Japan, Thailand or Mexico, and its the same. Coastal Transitional fits what people like and expect along the coasts in Florida.
